White Sapote tastes very sweet. It’s said to taste like a banana-mango custard cream.

Ripe White Sapote smells very sweet like sugar.


  • What does it feel like?

The (green/yellow) skin of White Sapote is smooth and thin. Its (ivory) flesh is rich and creamy like avocado and other sapotes.


  • Where does it grow?

White Sapote is native to the region of Mexico to Costa Rica. It’s now grown in Central America, the United States, and Australia as well.


  • How do you eat it?

White Sapote is most commonly eaten raw on its own by scooping out the flesh, or added to smoothies and desserts.
