Longans smell musky, earthy, sweet, and florally.

Longans have a (brown/yellow) thin skin and a (white/ivory) juicy, jelly-like flesh that surrounds the pit/seed.

• Where does it grow?
Longans are native to Myanmar and China. They mostly grow in southeast Asian countries but also in Puerto Rico, Florida, Hawaii, and California.

• How do you eat it?
Longans are eaten raw on their own, juiced, or added to desserts, drinks, candies, and preserves.
