Tamarillo has a (red/orange) smooth skin that’s relatively thick, and a (orange) juicy, pulpy flesh like tomato flesh.

• Where does it grow?
Tamarillo is native to South America. It now grows around the world too, including in Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

• How do you eat it?
Tamarillos are commonly eaten raw by cutting it in half and scooping the flesh. They’re also added to savory dishes like salsa, chili, and dressings.
